Obama’s first task: Cleaning up the White House

After eight long years, the Bush administration finally left the White House yesterday, leaving behind all their clutter. Obama’s first act as president was to clean up the White House of lobby interest and put a salary cap on high-paying administrative jobs. Obama said this new rules of the White House were to “represent a clean break from business as usual.”
In these tough times, Obama wants us to know he sympathizes with our hardships, “Families are tightening their belts, and so should Washington.” Well known White House jobs such as press secretary, national security advisor, and White House chief of staff will all be affected by the new salary cap of $100,000 a year. Obama says his rules are stricter, “than any other administration in history.”
The new rules state that administrative members will no longer be able to accept gifts from lobbyist. It also prevents anyone who leaves his administration from influencing the current members for at least two years. Clearly, Obama wants stop outside influences from corrupting his policies. This cleaning up will also allow the new administration to function more freely and efficiently.
On his first day Obama proves that we’re all in this together; that his administration will not lavish in the gifts from lobbyist nor their 6 figure salaries. Yet, he warns the mistakes of the past 8 years cannot be mended in one day. “The new rules on lobbying alone, no matter how tough, are not enough to fix a broken system in Washington, that’s why I’m also setting rules that govern not just lobbyists but all those who have been selected to serve in my administration.” Cleaning up the White House may not bring us out of a recession, but it shows the fundamental change in administrative policies and function.

Cleaning is an important task to attend to before doing anything else. Clean environment creates fresh air, concentration, attraction etc.
Therefore, i am hereby looking for a job to work in the white house (President Barrack Obama’s House) as a cleaner in any department i will be offered a job. I am a very good cleaner with good experience. I good with domestic work.

I agree, cleaning is very important!!!! You really need to let it rip OBAMA. Sometimes when you drop a full thompson you just need a sombitchin dust buster or a hoover. Me Im just a working class hero, but my boy horatio would love to clean up the full tokyo drop.
