ten-thousand-fists-limited-edition-cover-art-extralarge_1150118315378This follow-up to the band’s sophomore effort Believe is equally wicked yet full of surprises-good ones. Largely considered a strictly nu-metal band devoid of creative musical musings, the band comes out of nowhere on this album with some technically astounding deviations from the genre’s pillars of style.

Disturbed fans have a host of pounding verses and infectious choruses to look forward to on this third metal assault, as should be expected from a band of Disturbed’s reputation and credibility. The band has continued its evolution and will survive.

From emotional yet still metallic songs like “Stricken” to politically charged tunes such as “Deify” (questioning the legitimization of the idolization of the president), the band maintains conceptual variety and riffs off of it with the result of a host of hits.

Explosive and flowing, Ten Thousand Fists will get the blood flowing and the idealist pumped. A cover of Phil Collins’ Land of Confusion , a boon to fans as good if not better than their last cover, Shout 2000 , compliments and enhances the album’s idealist themes of transcendentalism and revolution.
